Reflexology

The Theory of Reflexology

Reflexology is an ancient healing art which is known to have been practised widely as long ago as 3,000 BC. It involves the application of subtle pressure to specific reflex points found on the feet, which mirror the body’s internal organs and structures. This technique increases the vital energy flow around the body, restoring the delicate balance between the body’s muscles, organs and structures. Tensions are eased, whilst circulation and elimination are improved.

Our flow of vital energy can become impeded due to a build-up of toxins and waste deposits over the reflex points which, if not restored, can result in ill-health. Reflexology will often reveal crystalline deposits at certain reflex points which suggest an “imbalance” in the part of the body to which the particular reflex relates. During treatment, I work to disperse these crystals by applying gentle pressure to your feet with my hands, and the waste products are then flushed away naturally.

The Result!

ReflexologyWhilst scientific evidence is lacking, many clients who receive reflexology treatments report an improvement in their sense of well-being, as the treatment allows their system to relax, relieving tension, aiding sleep and lifting their mood.

We can all feel less than 100% at times, but a regular Reflexology treatment can work wonders in helping us to deal with niggly health problems which can stop us living life to the full. And the treatment is so beautifully relaxing you won’t be able to wait until your next session!
